Tycoon City: New York is a city-building strategy game created by Deep Red and published by Atari. The game might look similar to the SimCity or City Life. In certain ways it is the same, but don't be fooled; the strategic elements of the game are not the same as those other titles. The game puts you first to build a small part of the New York city skyline. Your objective is just to build and make things as perfect as possible. As you progress during the game, you also start to build in different neighborhoods. The graphics of this game are as stunning as you can get in these types of games. You get to see the New York city lights at night at all their splendor. The sound is a close second as well. Depending on the view you have, you get different sound effects. There is one mayor flaw with this game: there is no challenge. You don't have to be careful not to mess the balance of the city, and there is no penalty for doing things badly. You have the freedom to do what you want. That will put off a lot of gamers expecting to play the game for the challenge. However, gamers that like building may still like the game.
